Happiness Hormone: Chemicals that secretes Happiness

 

            While you're feeling happy your body secretes chemicals. Happiness is created by different things in different situations like our health, wealth, friends, family, etc., 4 types of Hormones create happiness in your body.


  • Oxytocin
  • Endorphins
  • Dopamine
  • Serotonin   



Oxytocin:


     Oxytocin is a hormone that is also called the Love hormone. This hormone secretes when you touch someone it may be your friend or lover. It boosts your feelings (Love or Trust). When you're in a relationship with someone it makes you feel happy. This is because of Oxytocin. It helps to lower your blood pressure.


Deficiency:


      The deficiency of Oxytocin causes anxiety, empty or unworthy. If you feel lonely, it means the level of oxytocin in your body decreased. The person who has a low level of oxytocin always stays alone, avoids communication, looks unhappy.


Tips to Boost:


     Get a massage (It will relax your muscles), Hug your closed ones. It will help to Oxytocin secretion in your body and make you feel happy.




Endorphin:


     Endorphin is a hormone which is acts as a natural pain killer in our body. It doesn't get relief from pain completely but it just reduces the pain. You feel high and your mood improves, become energetic. It is also called "Runner's high". A maximum of sports players can experience the feeling of strong and ready, because of the secretion of Endorphin. That's why it's called "runner's high". It tackled pain giving them time to avoid life-threatening situations.


Deficiency: 


     While endorphin decreases in your body makes you emotionally sensitive, depressed, and low immunity. 


Tips to Boost:


     Intake of foods rich in good fats like olives, coconut, etc., takes more sunlight to increase endorphin. Music always boosts your mind so listen to good music, exercise a lot, and laugh more. Chocolate also improves your mood so some dark chocolates.




Dopamine:


     Dopamine deals with pleasure and reward. It motives you too hard or to achieve some results. It gives a warm vague sense of pride. But it also has a downside, drugs, alcohol, etc., Coffee and Candy also produce dopamine in your body. And these matters are addictive that you can't stop eating. This improves your happiness (feel like Heaven).


Deficiency:


     It slows down your body and causes irregular movements of your body.


Tips to Boost:


     Eat some dark chocolates, listen to favorite music, exercise regularly, get enough sleep, etc.,




Serotonin:


     Serotonin is a "feel-good hormone". The secretion of Serotonin increases, self-esteem, healthy appetite, good mood, and increase memory power. This is the reason for social behavior, digestion, sexual desire, and sleep. It helps to do multitask and well-being. These make your body and mind happy. Happiness creates different feelings in different works.


Deficiency:


     Serotonin decreases lead to anxiety, panic attack, weak, insomnia, depression, and obsessive behavior.


Tips to Boost:


     Intakes of carbohydrates, vitamin D. Bananas, yogurt, egg yolk, cheese, etc., rich in Vitamin D.
